Meet Amy

 

Award-winning freelance travel writer, author and photographer, Amy Eckert has visited destinations throughout the world, from the islands of Malta to the Motor City, from Korea to Key West and hundreds of places in between. Amy has made a career of seeing the world and bringing the best to readers at home. Her specialties include travel in the American Midwest and Central Europe; outdoor recreation and adventure travel; motorcycle travel; cultural travel; and food and wine destinations.

Amy has authored Michelin’s Germany guide as well as contributing to Harley-Davidson’s Ride Atlas of North America. She has contributed to numerous Frommer’s guidebook titles and has recently begun producing iPhone travel apps. Her work has appeared in numerous newspapers, magazines and websites, including Midwest Living, AAA, Hemispheres, Shape, American Style, Wine Enthusiast, Ohio Magazine, LongWeekends, AARP.org, KLM.com, AirFrance.com and BritishAirways.com.
